Take a ride on a 60 foot electric trolleybus along Main street to Broadway. For those of you from outside the country who don’t know, the song the guys at the front of the bus are singing is Canda’s national anthem, it was in honor of a gold medal in womens hockey. Also I’d like to thank everyone on board for not staring at the camera too much as this can easily ruin vids of larger more crowded buses, and no the camera was not hidden, people here just aren’t creeped out as much by being recorded as they are in the US.

this sounds like our D40LFs wth the S50 engine and the B400R transmission removed.
Do you guys have anything other than this thing with Meritor axles in Vancouver (besides the Orion Vs and anonymous coaches)?
and that is true
@VancouversLocalNerd, we here in Toronto Downtown were running in front of streetcars and buses when Sidney Crosby scored, and bor3d gamind was cheering badly
@VancouversLocalNerd Thank you in advance! It’s a pity that there are currently no HD videos in Youtube or anywhere in the cyberspace that are dedicated to showcasing North America’s second largest trolleybus system in action viewed from the outside of the buses. Scenes/clips showing buses negotiating turns at street corners & intersections, speeding down the street, etc will be superb! Yours will be the first of the kind! Looking forward!
@jemdude22 I’ll try and get some next time I go downtown
This is great! Would love to see great videos showing vancouver trolleybuses in action from the outside in HD resolution!
@bearchoirfan Here the simple “ding” you hear is used for stop requests and as a door open signal, there is a door close chime (the one heard on the title screen) but it’s used only on light rail lines and buses where 3 door boarding is in effect.
That’s different from the UK, Hong Kong or Singapore in which the bell is a door closing chime, and exists on the exit door only.
Yea why dose it have the ding ding sound
It’s just a signal letting people know the doors are unlocked, the 60 ft. diesel buses do it to and possibly all of the LFR series 40 ft. buses.
why does the trolley rear doors have the “ding ding” sound
EDIT: Ok, I didn’t notice anything wrong in person but upon watching it a couple times it does appear to sound a few extra times..
I didn’t notice anything wrong, it sounds twice when the doors are unlocked and once when the cord is pulled.
Was there a bell defect on this bus?
This street is definitely the most beautiful place in Moscow i have seen so far !
Visit Russia and u will be impresed of what you will see..
